douglas is a critically acclaimed singer who has performed in more than 60 countries around the world including england, france, italy, belgium, sweden, japan, china, singapore, australia, new zealand, and russia, among others. douglas was born in okinawa, japan and raised in mississippi, missouri, tennessee and kansas.
douglas currently lives and performs in nyc. also in nyc, he appeared nightly in the broadway production of "jekyll & hyde." audiences and critics alike have been thrilled by his dark, rich mesmerizing baritone voice. rex reed says in the new york observer, "this guy's melting baritone could single-handedly revive the art of the ballad, the love song and the heart-breaker."
as an actor, in addition to appearing in eric shaeffer's film, "never again," douglas has been featured on abc's "all my children," mtv's "music video awards," and in various national commercials including a hewlett-packard spot with wayne coyne from the flaming lips.
douglas has also enjoyed performing on the musical stage in some favorite shows that include sweeney todd, chess, the desert song, gigi, phantom, into the woods, the broadway production of jekyll & hyde, and a once in a lifetime european tour with the chippendales.
while in los angeles, douglas formed the rock band beat&path for which he also wrote and sang. supporting their biggest single, "goodbye beautiful day," beat&path performed at hollywood's world famous viper room, the roxy, the troubadour and the el rey in addition to concerts in san francisco and nyc.
a backstage bistro award winner in 2007 and consistently ranked the "best of the best" male vocalist by nyc's top critics, douglas has performed at town hall, broadway's plymouth theatre, the firebird, eighty-eight's, the triad, dillons, the cinegrill, iridium jazz club and at many other concert halls and clubs around the world.
